This letter to our friends and area businesses continues our 2012 Campaign for the SHS Scholarships Program for our new SHS grads. Our first objective was to reach out to our donors who made contributions since we started in 2008. Then we began contacting others by letter, twitter, facebook and LinkedIN to ask that everyone become annual donors. 2011 = $2,409.57 = $7,474.67

2012 = $119.57 = $7,594.24

Why contribute? There are many scholarships available for academic excellence for Clark County high school graduates. In comparison, there are only a few scholarships available just for our new SHS grads. The SHS Scholarships Program helps our new grads and it helps Springfield.

Criteria for awards
Service and Leadership. Academic Performance. Need.

Our first goal is to raise $35,000 so that we can begin awarding individual scholarships to our new SHS graduates for trade school, 2 year college and 4 year college. The next financial goals are $500,000 and then $1 million.

It has been estimated that there may be as many as 25,000 living graduates from SHS, Springfield North and Springfield South. If we were to receive just $20.00 from each grad, not to mention their families, we could raise $1 million in just two years.

We ask that you begin a good habit of making annual contributions to the SHS Scholarships Program ... and invite one or two others to join you. Please designate your donations for the SHS Scholarships and mail your annual contribution to:
