A Family Low Exercise Level Activity for Virus Stay at Home Days by Jack57shs

Kitchen Table Top Balloon Games

Remove all items from the kitchen table. Move the table away from  overhead lights, shelves, windows, cabinets etc. Free space of three to four feet is OK. More space is even better. Chairs? That is a game option.

This is a social family game [cooperative not competitive] with 2 to 6 players seated on chairs or standing with chairs moved out of the way.

Version One of Balloon Ball is to “pat” one balloon and keep it in the air off the table top. Add 2 or 3 balloons to make it more difficult. If you wish to make this social game bit more competitive, see how many “pats” the group can achieve before a balloon hits the floor. Set a timer. See how long you can keep the balloon or balloons in the air.

Want more Excitement? Kick it up a notch.

Variation Two. Use both hands. Use one dominant hand. Use on the right hand. Use only the left hand. Remove the table.

Variation Three. Pat one or two balloons around the table in consecutive order. See Version 2 for variations.

Respond to this game with other Variation that you have found to be successful for the ages of the children in your family. More activity ideas coming.

Added Note: Saw a Seasoned Citizens version of this game with balloons and foam "sticks" for whacking balloons while seated around a large table.
