Donations to SHS Scholarships - 2011 tally

This letter will bring you up to date on donations to the SHS Scholarships Program. This program was started in 2008 by Jack Hutslar [SHS 1957] and a few other very important SHS grads.

The purpose of this letter is to ask you to begin making an annual donation today to the SHS Scholarships Program. And, we also ask you to gather two more classmates, friends and relatives who will join you in becoming annual donors.

2 get 2 who get 2 who get 2. That is our campaign strategy.

No donation is too small. It might be $19.57, the year I was graduated from SHS, or $195.70 or even $1.957.00

The donations we receive are sent to and kept by The Springfield Foundation. Eventually, they will help us sort through the scholarship applicants and make awards.

Our first goal is to reach $35,000 in donations. Then we can begin awarding scholarships to new SHS graduates. We now have over 50 separate donors who have contributed over $7,000. Each year we have surpassed the previous year in giving. We are making slow and steady progress.

Year by year growth.

2008 = $700.00 = $700.00

2009 = $2,128.00 = $2,828
2010 = $2,237.10 = $5,065.10
2011 = $2,409.57 = $7,474.67

Your annual contribution to the SHS Scholarships Program is greatly appreciated. Should you have questions, please feel free to call or email me at any time. Send me your email address and I will include you in our periodic e-blasts.

Go to our web site at www.SHSscholarships.com. Click on the “News” button to learn more and see who has been giving.

I am looking forward to seeing our classmates again at the June reunion in 2012.

Feel free to copy this and send it along to your classmates, friends and relatives. That would provide us with a big Wildcat boost.

A very big thanks and best wishes . . . jack at 800 767-4916
